Now, this is finally another important step in the right 
direction!

(I've written my BSc thesis on something like micro-cycle 
event-driven development, where changes (whatever incoming
input to a development project, actually) are the fundamental 
things that drive the whole process. And, naturally, "change 
objects" (representations of changes) are the core of any 
automated environment supporting the idea. Now seeing those 
changes to be so much analogous to your patch concept, is 
such a relief to me!... :) )
