Hmmm. I never thought about that, but it sounds like a reasonable idea.
It also could share considerable code with some sort of an auto-changelog
generator, which seems like it also could be nice. I'll consider that on
the TODO list (but I'm on vacation right now...).

Hmmm. It does sound like a good idea, but would there be any easy way to
turn it off? Or perhaps noone really would be interested in turning it off?
I sort of like the flexibility of the current system (except that you can't
specify an alternate diff program yet...).
