Hehe; then you might have more fun refactoring my Java Swing UI I did for 
Arch (but abandoned since I failed to understand arch, and hence failed to 
write a UI that worked on more then my own repository).

The gui did work like you describe; but I'm not sure that since darcs has 
such an interactive CLI how this could work.
