Arch uses some Unixy stuff internally (e.g. hardlinks) that cannot be
emulated properly on Cygwin. And it felt clunky, or at least that's
the current consensus over here. I had once considered Peter Miller's
Aegis <http://aegis.sourceforge.net/> but reading from the Aegis
documentation it had a lot of Unix dependencies and a Windows port is
a far-and-away possibility at the moment
<http://aegis.sourceforge.net/windowsnt.html>. Then I found darcs
which is simpler to use and suited most of our needs, darcs being able
to sort of work under Windows was also a plus since some of our
developers don't have a choice.
