Yea, but to have all the features of darcs, they have to keep the same model of
correctness, which (from my rudimentary understanding of patches) means the same
difficulties with mergers.  My brief impression is that most other VCs punt on
this, or have a less flexible model so it doesn't come up.  So I'm betting the
most likely VC to achieve what you want is darcs itself :)
