sitecopy is excellent! Just tried it and it works like a charm. Though
it's command line only and it requires a minimal installation of
cygwin.

BTW. I suggest that you have an .htaccess file in your repository
directory that says:
ForceType application/octet-stream
So that your webserver will not automatically process your files when
it detects certain MIME types and filename extensions (e.g. .php, .pl)
