Having darcs do this would indeed be very attractive. We have developers
using both Linux and Windows on the same project. We don't often run into
problems with the LF vs CR/LF issue because the Linux users use Emacs which
is quite smart about this issue. However, the line endings do sometimes
cause unnecessary "changes" to be recorded which do obscure the real
changes.
