[darcs-users] Strange Timezone Behaviour on Windows XP

Hi,
Please excuse if this has already been addressed somewhere - I tried to
search the archives but couldn't find a solution.
I'm using Version: 1.0.9rc2 (unknown); darcs compiled on Feb 2 2007, at
11:36:03; # configured Fri Feb 2 11:32:41 USMST 2007 but the behaviour was
the same with the last stabel.
The timezone isn't shown in abbreviated timezone codes but fully written out
- this has two disadvantages:
(1) it's long and wastes space when reading
(2) as I'm running darcs in a normal CMD shell and use CET, it prints the
'ä' from 'Mitteleuropäische Zeit' encoded - looks ugly and distracts when
searching and reading.
My workaround is that I'm using 'West-Zentralafrika Normalzeit' - 'West
african time', which is the same timezone - but this isn't satysfiying on
the long term.
Is there a preference setting I have overlooked which can be set to show the
standard code?
Thanks in advance
Günter
