hm, here is a smaller repo:

http://darcs.frugalware.org/repos/pacman-g2

$ dr get --tag=3.2.9 http://darcs.frugalware.org/repos/pacman-g2
Copying patch 1135 of 1135... done!
Applying patch 1135 of 1135... done.
Unapplying 364 patches.
Finished getting.

so it gets all the patches then unapplies the patches till the tag, even
if i use "dr optimize --tag=3.2.9 --checkpoint" on the server to make
sure there is a checkpoint for the tag

if this is the latest tag, i can use --partial, but if this is not the
case, then it gets the whole repo, i'm not sure why

is there any reason for doing so? or is this a bug?

and yes, it seems that --partial overwrites the --tag switch, though
this is not documented

so i suspect 2 bugs here :)

udv / greetings,
VMiklos
