Just use "host", since that is the default syntax. Then change:

to:
user at host:/path/to/repository
Then explain that special settings and/or aliases can be defined for
specific hosts by using ~/.ssh/config or the "Saved Session" feature of
PuTTy, and adjust the following accordingly. A few good examples will
make it all very clear.

As for in-depth configuration, the truth is that this is the tip of the
iceberg. You've gained a little convenience, and better interoperability
with Darcs, but you haven't nearly tapped the potential until you start
using ssh-agent and public key authentication, which allows you
continued access to your hosts after typing a passphrase only once. If
you're a heavy user of SSH, this is indispensible.
