As a reply to Reinier's patch, Petr raised the possibility of a Cabal
bug.

Could this patch (to the cabal file in Darcs source) be of interest to
you from a Cabal-hacking standpoint?  Hopefully it's not actually a
Cabal bug and just some failure on our part.  :-)
