[darcs-users] `darcs send` only working with -o

Hi all

I've been pairing remotely with another developer, and if we have unfinished work we don't want in the main repo, we `darcs send` it to each other. We're both on OS X, him on 10.6, me on 10.7.

He just send me the patches with plain `darcs send`, relative to the current state of the repo[1]. I copy and paste it into a file*, and then run it through `darcs apply. It fails with this error:

darcs failed: Malformed patch bundle: '[WIP:validateaddress' is not 'Context:'

Yet the same patch send with `darcs send -o` applies fine.

What is causing this? I'm sure I've applied patches from emails before. I've attached both. The one suffixed .email_patches is the one copied from an email body, the one suffixed .file_patches was sent to me as an attachment file. There are differences in whitespace but I don't know if they're significant.

Can anyone help?

Cheers
Ash

* I can't work out how to apply by copying and pasting to stdin for `darcs apply`
