darcs annotate no longer has an --xml-output option and instead has
--machine-readable which is a custom format designed for machine parsing
but isn't XML.

Unfortunately I think your options are to go back to an old enough
version of darcs and the other software, or to find some way to bring
the support up to date with the latest versions.
